I just saw the Departed with my brother. It was really awesome. Mostly because of the Boston accents. It's kind of weird seeing Matt Damon, Leonardo Decaprio and Mark Whalberg all in the same movie though. Mostly because Matt Damon is like a hybrid of Decaprio and Whalberg. If you combined the two of them together genetically, it would make Matt Damon. Try it on photoshop, it works.

Kerry and I went out for our 2nd anniversary on Thursday. We went to Bish restaurant on the waterfront. It was a lot of fun. I ordered the samon in pistou (p-ees-t-oo) and Kerry had the chicken. Both of us spilled our dry apple martinis all over our menus before the food came because of those big ackward glasses they come in. And in the bathroom stalls there was an abstract painting of what appeared to be a spoon having sex with a fork.
We split a really expensive microscopic apple cinemon dessert after our main course then ended the night with a short walk on the waterfront before we caught the last link back to sackville. It was a good time.
It won't be long until school starts now. I'd really like to get to the beach one last time.

It's been a long time since I've updated.
I was watching Captain Planet and the Planeteers the other day and and the plan of the villain was to go back in time and increase air pollution in an effort to speed up global warming. It doesn't make any sense to me how that could benefit anyone whether they be environmentallists or just a bad guy. They really need to come up with at least a motive or something before they just start making cartoons.
Tomorrow I leave for Cape Breton for my brother's wedding. It'll be nice to get back down since I haven't been there in almost 5 years. I will miss Kerry though. She can't come because she has to take a course. We'll be apart for 5 days which is the longest we've ever been apart in the last 2 years.
In 11 days I write the biggest test of my life. I really hope sacrificing this summer to prepare will pay off.

I had a dream this morning that I was at subway buying a sub. The guy rang it in and told me it was $4.99. I looked in my wallet and saw that I only had $4.87 in change. Then the dream ended and I woke up.
Kerry and I went shopping at yesterday at Mic Mac mall. It was a lot of fun. I went to Old Navy first to return a shirt I got for Christmas that shrunk. It cost $19.50 when it was perchased, but they told me that it was currently selling for only $4.50, so that's all I got back. Then I bought 5 shirts and a new bathing suit for only $46.00!.
We met up with Rick in the mall and then went to Toys R' Us to look at the action figures. There was a man there buying Star Wars figures with his wife who didn't look too impressed. It was like looking at Kerry's and my relatonship 10 years into the future. We exchanged words over both the irony and similarities of our situations and then left without me buying anything.
After that we got some lunch and went to the Bus stop to catch the bus back to Ricks apartment. Eventually we realized the bus wasn't going to come because I looked at the monday-friday schedule instead of the saturday one. Upon this revelation and much to Kerry's dismay, we decided to walk.
We arrived at Rick's apartment 20 minutes later and finally met his girlfriend who'd just returned from a month stay at St. Anne's french school that day. The four of us played tennis into the evening and then walked through the North-end Ghetto of Dartmouth to get the next bus home from Highfield.
All in all it was a fun day.

My 20th birthday just passed on wednesday May 31st. It's on the same day as Colin Ferrel's and the memorable black power ranger Zack, from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I spent it by waking up early to go to school at Dal, coming home, and then going to work at Taiso. Not very exciting. But today I went to wal-mart to buy some sandals for the beach and ended up spending $46.00 of my birthday earnings on a Giant 30" Superman toy.
My cat is afraid of it. It's so wicked awesome. Next to my force FX lightsaber it's currently my favorite toy. If someone told me when I was 10 that I'd still be buying superhero toys when I was 20, I'd have said "yeah. yeah that sounds like something I'd do."
Anyway, I still want to do something for my birthday so I think I'll have a gathering at Boston Pizza or something next saturday. Let me know if you want to come.

If Wolverine were to stab somebody that was HIV positive and then retract his claws back into his hand, would he become HIV positive himself or would his mutant healing power protect him against AIDS?

Kerry and I have been waking up every morning and watching Saved by the Bell re-runs and Live with Regis and Kelly. While the mischevious antics of Zack Morris are un-boring at best, I have to say the hillarious third person references of Regis combined with the over the top outgoingness of Kelly are very entertaining.
I bought the Long Way Round DVD last week after finishing the book over Christmas Vacation. Shortly after, Keith and I went to see V for Vendetta which turned out to be a bad movie. A more interesting story than a cliche vigilante bringing down a Nazi-like governement would be how a flame charred naked man manages to escape a government testing site and become a wealthy sophisticated sword wielding super hero in a depressed dystopian society. But they don't explain that part. Anyway, my DVD fell out of my jacket in the movie so I had to drive all the way back to Bayers Lake to get it once I got home and realized I had lost it.
I started working at Taiso last week and I really enjoy it. Compared to the Sports Stadium, the kids are very well behaved and the fact that I get to be dry and warm while I coach is very rewarding. Also, afterward I get to play on all the equipment. I'm so happy that I got my back-tucks back. While I don't know if I ever lost them, they certainly went unpracticed for 6 months. I declare them the best abdominal exercise in the world.
I'm kind of hungry so I think I'll go have another breakfast.

Last night Kerry and I went to see Silent Hill. Normally I don't like scary movies, but I really liked the game so I thought I'd give it a chance. It was very true to the game, but the ending was confusing and inappropriate. My favorite part was in the middle of a would-be scary scene, when the sound cut out and a 'Cold Play' song came on instead of the creepy organ music of the movie. It lasted for about 4 minutes until the sound cut back in. It was really funny.
It feels sur-real to done my second year of University. I don't know what to do with my day anymore. Today I layed in bed sick and watched Top Gun and then Bloodsport while I ate an entire chocolate bunny. While the movies are classics and chocolate is delicious, I don't want to spend my whole vacation like that. Fortunately I'll be back to work soon. I start work assistant couching at Taiso this week. I'm pretty excited. Mostly because I'll get to play on all the gymnastics equipment. I go back to Sobeys next week and I'm still working at the pool. Thus concludes my plathora of part-time jobs.
I have just over a month until I start school again. In that time I plan to read a book, go see Mission Impossible III and the Da Vinci Code and make an fx Lightsaber movie with Rick. Yep, May's gonna be an exciting month.

They had a mascotte competition at school, that I really wanted to enter but couldn't due to the intense workload demand my classes put on me. Now there are 3 stupid corny options, all of which I would be more or less equally ashamed up. Oh well. Only two more years and then it's off to Dal.
My last week has been a comfortable balance of exercise and study. I have 3 exams left, then I'm going to go on a short 2-3 day drinking binge and relax with several part-time jobs until the end of May when I have to go back to school.
Tonight I'm going to Brewster's to watch UFC on paperview with Keith. It should be fun. I think I'll have the chicken fingers.
Hope everyone has a Happy Easter or miscellaneous non-Christian religious equivalent.

The Bryan Adams concert was phenomenal. It turns out my favorite song was inspired by a sandwhich. He's like, the 'Jack Bauer' of music. Definitely the best concert I've ever been too.
I went to see Lucky Number Slevin last night with Kerry and friends. It was really awesome. It reminded me of a combination of Pay Back with Mel Gibson and Guy Ritchie's Snatch. It was funny, witty and action packed.
Thus concludes my week of excitement before I start studying for my exams.

About 3 days ago I was sitting and arbitrarily thinking to myself, it's been a really long time since I've seen a preview for a movie with Josh Hartnett in it. The the next day I see a preview for Lucky Number Slevin which looks really awesome and stars Josh Hartnett. I thought that was quite a coincidence. Anyway, I'm really glad that he didn't go the Freddy Prinze Jr. route and just stop making movies all together.
On an unrelated note, I was walking down the hill at school the other day and there was a crow pirched on the railing. I walked so close to it that it's beak (which looks razor sharp up close) was about 3 inches from my face. Not only did it not fly away, it didn't even flinch. I looked right into it's eyes and saw absolutely no fear at all. All I saw was pure evil and hatred for the human race. This could be a problem. I think the crows, and possibly other birds are planning an attack. Be wary. I believe only the ducks can be trusted.

I was reading the other day in my Human Anatomy text that there's an 80% cure rate for lung cancer in mice and it's slowly progressing toward human testing. I couldn't help but wonder, where are they getting all these smoking mice?
I don't really have anything to update about so I'm going to talk about some commercials.
I really like that new iPod commercial with all the awesome flips in it. The 'flipping on the brink' one. What an awesome commercial, it reminds me of Ninjas.
Is anyone else creeped out by the large plastic man in the new Burging King commercials? If I drove though a dark tunnel on my bike and came out the otherside with that thing on the back, I'd definitely be afraid it would kill me, and I certainly wouldn't take any Burgers from it. What a fitting costume for a themed psychotic serial killer.
I hate that stupid Miami Ink commercial. It's so over played. In fact it's on right now. Not that I needed to see it to remind me that I hate it. I was going to talk about how much I hated it even before it came on. It's simply a coincidence that it's on now, and only further asserts my point that it's over played. What a bunch of dirt bags. Miami Ink sucks.

Last weekend was really fun. On friday night Kerry and I went over for Keith's birthday, where we had pizza and watched Dane Cook comedy shorts. We got him a wooden ninja sword from the new Chinese store in Bedford Place mall. He really liked it. I also bought one for myself. It's awesome. After pizza and drinking, we went home.
The next day I woke up with a hangover, which was surprising because I didn't drink that much. After many hours of sleep and 6 advil taken over two 4 hour intervals, I was fine. Saturday night we went to Brewsters to watch the UFC pay-per-view fight on the big screen. It was awesome.
The superbowl was on last night. I didn't even know about it until Monday morning. I've never been one of those guys to watch 'the game', but I sure love watching 'the fight'.
So last night Fox tried to pull the wool over my eyes, by substituting 3 old Family Guy episodes for one new one. Just as well though. Last weeks new family guy really sucked. Apparently Family Guy minus comedy equals extreme violence and a 12 minute musical sequences. I don't mind watching a few weeks of old episodes, if they need time to think of better ideas.
24's on tonight, I can't wait!

I don't want to go into a rant, but you know what really pisses me off? When I log onto MSN and I see people with 'X days' written next to their name, where x equals and real number between 1 and 365 usually. I don't mind the 'X days until I'm 19' or 'X days until I go to the Carribean' or anything like that. I just hate when there's no indication of what the X is counting down to. To me something like 'John - 20 days' might as well say 'John - I'm all alone and have nothing to do really want someone to ask me what happens in 20 days so I can tell them and have someone to talk to for 5 minutes to distract me from my boring life.'
Well I'll be damned if I'm the one going to ask them. Just do everyone a favour and write what happens in 20 days then if you're still lonely, get a hobbie.
Now that I got that off my chest I guess I'll make a post. So 24's back on I'm really excited about that. I've been really busy with school, as usual. Works good. I found my sisters Billy Blanks Tae Bo advanced volume 4 VHS tape and started doing Tae Bo work outs a few times a week instead of going to the gym. It's strange, but I've just been moving progressively closer and closer to the gym over the last year, but I keep going less and less. Oh well.
That's all,

The other day at the Stadium we tried to list as many Heritage Moment Commercials as we could. Not including the new ones that don't count because they changed the format, just the classics. I think we came up with 52. My favorite ones by far are the Superman and Winnie the Pooh ones.
I was inverting a separatory funnel in the organic chem lab last thursday, when I held it upside down and the cork in the flask just fell out the top spilling concentrated hydrochloric acid all over my hand. My lifeguard instincts told me to go to the sink and flush my hand with tepid water for 5-10 minutes, so I did. That's when the lab instructor came over and told me that if I hadn't done that right away that the halogens in the acid would have permeated my epidermal membrane and reacted with the beta-proteins in my DNA to give me cancer.
'That's encouraging,' I thought. Then I wondered how long he'd been waiting to work that into a conversation.
I learned in Astronomy the other day that there's a huge split in the scientific community over whether or not Pluto is actually a planet. There's people that think it is and people that think it isn't and they hate each other. I found that really funny.

New Years Eve was pretty fun. I didn't get to see everyone I wanted to see, but I had a few people over and won a game of texas hold'em.
Keith and I started to Kung Fu play fight after we got drunk and he punched me really hard it the hand. Several hours later I realised that I had lost all upper muscle mobility of my right thumb. Though it was completely painless, I could no longer give thumbs up, have thumb wars, etc. I figured I would have to have X-Rays and feared that I would never regain use of my thumb again. I stayed awake until 4 a.m. or so trying to mentally will my somatic nervous system and primary motor cortex to work properly.
Fortunately in the morning it was completely healed. So my New Years Resolution was to never take the use of my right thumb for granted again.

I ate too much apple crisp last night while watching the 40 Year Old Virgin with Kerry and Keith and now it feels like a have a hang over.
So Christmas was very satisfying. I got lots of Old Navy clothes, which is great. The thing I love about Old Navy it that it's got all the style and class of the Gap but with the unbeatable prices of Blue Notes. It's an excellent combination.
Kerry and I exchanged gifts on Christmas eve which just also happened to be our 16 month anniversary. She gave me a gigantic exercise ball and Seinfeld Season four. I gave her a silver watch.
We spent Christmas day at Kerry's father's house with some of their family and a arbitraily 90 something year old British Billionaire whom everyone called 'Grampie'. I later found out that he was no ones Grandfather and wasn't even related to anyone there. Anyway, as soon as I saw the guy I knew he was just walking comedic material and that I would spend the rest of the day doing impressions of his delightful British accent.
Yesterday I tried to get Kerry to watch Batman Begins with me but it didn't work. She said she didn't like Batman. I then tried to explain to her that Batman and Oprah were essentially the same. They're both Billionaires who use their wealth and power to bring peace and justice to the world. Batman just does it a little bit stealthier with way cooler equipment.
Anyway it didn't work so I'm going to have to watch it alone when I get a chance.
Hope Everyone had a Merry Christmas. And I hope Jon Stewart and Jerry Seinfeld have a Happy Hannakuh.

Happy Birthday Kerry!
So vacation is going pretty well. I have my lifeguad pre-cert tomorrow and my recert on sunday. I'm kind of nervous about it. Mostly because I'm not as determine to recert as I was to, uh, cert. I hope I pass though. I could use two more years of guarding before I hang up my whistle for a stethescope. Hopefully.
So yesterday I went to do my Christmas shopping at Mic Mac Mall. After buying presents for others, I got to go in Old Navy for the first time and buy myself some pants. I then bought myself an Anakin Skywalker Force FX lightsaber replica, which is possibly the coolest thing I own. Though I forgot to get batteries so I haven't been able to enjoy it's full Force FX yet.
I bought a book too from Jon's book store. 'The Long Way Round'. It's the self written documentary about two men (Ewan McGregor & Charlie Boorman), 2 bikes and 20,000 miles of adventure between them as they embark from London to New York. I started loving it as soon as I saw it on the Outdoor Life Network one night. I can't wait until I find the DVD so I can buy it. It really makes me want to turn 30 and fund my own cross country motorcycle adventure. Everyone who likes bikes and adventures should check it out.
That's all for now,

Days of Christmas now are here.
It's storming out pretty bad. I love it. And my exams are done! I love that too. Even though I am horribly sick. Calculus and Inorganic chemistry were really easy. Organic chemistry, and Newtonian Mechanics were really hard. And Human Anatomy & Physiology was in between.
When it comes to writing exams, I like to pretend that I'm a Jedi Knight and my exam is a Sithlord and me wrinting my exam is an epic lightsaber battle between us....
I find it's a helpful analogy.
Now I can finally focus on Christmas shopping, exercising and work.

I feel it's time for a post.
I'm moving again. To firstlake drive. This will be the 7th time in 6 years, which by my impressive mental math calculations is an moving average of 1.167 times a year. On the pro side I'll be right next to the sports stadium so I can easily walk to work. On the con side, I'm moving right in the middle of my exams so I'll be severely disrupted. Fortunately Kerry is going to pack all my things for me so that's good.
I'm really excited about the Stadium Christmas party this friday. It should be fun.
My computer crashed 2 days ago and I have to re-download pretty much everything. If it happened any earlier, I probably would've failed University since internet access and microsoft office are essential in doing everything. Those are pretty much the only two things I got back so far. I had to say good bye to such memorable programs as Flash and Adobe Photoshop. Oh well. I'll get them again one day.
The last movie I saw was Chicken Little with my sister. It was very random, and without the voice talent of Adam West, it wouldn't have been very funny.
I'm really excited for Narnia. That looks awesome. I really wasn't pumped about Harry Potter though. It's like the only epic movie made that I just have no interest in seeing. But everyone else seems to love it. Maybe I'll see it eventually.
That's enough for now.
